Steve's 1100s
I've not had as much time to get out as i'd like, but now 400 miles in and loving every minute of my new toy, just looking at it makes me grin like a child at Christmas!
Some bits arrived in the post this morning too....and so it begins... Very impressed with this beautifully machined and finished bit-o-bling...made in the UK too, called and ordered Yesterday afternoon and was in my sweaty palms 9.00am this morning. If you want one, give Mark Youngman @ Consort Precision a buzz or drop him an email - 01502 712337/consortprecision@btinternet.com...great chap, very helpful and has just completed a new batch ready to go. I am desperate to get some Termi's or equivalent but my other little monster insists on being fed and clothed....she is starting to appreciate the Duc' though and found the rattling, spinning red thing on Daddy's bike quite amusing: Money well spent |

Just fitted up my eBay bargain of the century....
As nature/god/devil intended: They've still got the trademark Termi' wonk-on but a bit more fettling should see them right, if I can keep off it for long enough - feck me it's loud |

Looking good. Did you get the ECU and air filter that go with the Termis?

The throttle response is is now pin sharp and the lurching at lower revs has all but gone, although I have dropped a cog size on the front which has also helped I guess. Despite varying stories of having to have the ECU set-up by a dealer etc. I decided to just plug and play and see how it went and put it back to standard if it ran like poop. It was a bit lumpy on tickover but has now settled down. I read somewhere that the TPS is reset after powering the ECU on/off 3 times in succession. I did this and it certainly seemed to smooth everything out in idle but who knows I did have a heart in mouth moment yesterday though, my Dad came round to have a listen but I couldn't get it to fire up - visions of void warrantys and dodgy ECU's filled my head. 15 mins passed only to realise the neutral light wasn't on - it was in gear with the sidestand down |
