Multi bike insurance

Hi can anyone recommend a good company for Multi bike insurance.
Just tried adding another bike (number 4) but they want almost as much as the other 3 bikes just to add one more.
I am with Carole Nash at the moment !

i had multi bike with peter james and they were good although depends on the age of the bike. had my 900ss for 110 and to add the m750 was a further 20 quid

I have 3 bikes covered for as near as makes no odd £300.00 a DT50mx,KTM 690 duke,KYMCO super8 125cc
But to add one extra they want £175.00 to cover untill march next year and are expecting renewal of close to £600.00 or over.
I can only ride one bike at a time and the only person covered.
Seems a bit steep ?

Yeah I'm with Carol Nash at the moment but will be changing next time, partly due to price but also because their breakdown cover sux!

I'm with Motorcycle Direct, they upgraded my policy this year which allows me to ride any bike, with no extra cost on the premium.

My premium is for an 848 Evo in London which is nearly £700, but that's full comp with all the extras.

I managed to get them to drop the price for adding a Bike until the renewal but will be shopping around in the new year.
Covered the extra bike for £130.00 from the 175.00 first quoted
I still think its a bit High given I am not a youngster by a long way and have never claimed in 30 years of riding ! Have secure storage and do very low mileage (fair weather rider)

I had multi bike insurance with Swinton this year, oddly, their 'multibike' insurance are two seperate documents but it was still fairly cheap.
I've not had to claim though, and this is when most insurance companies lose their 'good' reputation.

I also have a multi bike policy with Motorcycle Direct. An M1200S & a VFR 800 Vtec. I only have 3 years no claims so £357 fully comp with UK breakdown, legal etc. I thought that was a bargain.
They were good & quick to deal with online & telephone when taking it out. I haven't needed any back up support yet so I can't comment on that...

Bennetts for me - 2 bikes (s4 monster and a gpz750) with a glasgow postcode; £170 fully comp including IPT and only 2 years NCD

I went with Bennetts this year and have 2 bikes on the policy, much more reasonable than Carole Nash who I'd been with for a few years. Could be the 'new customer' syndrome so I'll see what my renewal is like next year!

I've always found Ducati Insurance excellent value. My S2R, 750ss and Benelli 250 2c fully comp for £133 (plus £40 for personal cover which is optional).

Ducati insurance just quoted me over £500 for an M1100 and a CB1300s
Doesn't sound like a bargin !

Rich, The extra bike may be the one they deem as the most likely to be stolen or crashed? I've added bikes before that cost pennies, but others that made a big difference. You want to add a classic bike to your garage. When I added a 1960 Tiger Cub, my policy dropped by £300 because they obviously thought I was an old bearded boy! Lol (It only sits in the dining room)

When I had a blow out in Belgium on my way back from MOB, they were fantastic. They picked me and my girlfriend up with the bike, put us in a hotel for the night, collected us in the morning and dropped us and the bike at the local bike tyre shop. I couldn't fault the service. Whilst you must pay a bit more for it, it times like that when you realise it's worth it. If you travel abroad a lot and don't sit in the smoke, it's a godsend.

CN appear to have no concept of customer service nor client retention, nor indeed sending refunds as per their own cr4ppy terms and conditions.,,,,

When was that though. All customer service was better in the 1950's CN used to use the RAC. Was great back then but they don't anymore and when it took 6 hours and 2 different trucks to recover me from Cambridgeshire I decided to get insured elsewhere and buy separate cover.

Then, to put the cherry on the cake they wrote to me saying that they couldn't insure me any more. I phoned and they said it was because I'd had 2 scooters stolen. So I found a company that would AND they were cheaper. Funny thing was on renewal day I got a call from them offering me a renewal. I told him what happened and he did a bit of work and managed to quote me. Too late and still more expensive. I've had it with them.
