Another New Owner
Just got my first Ducati. A 1996 900 Monster and I've already had and solved my first electrical gremlin! 3 days after getting the bike it wouldn't start. I just got a click from the solenoid then nothing. I borrowed a starter from a mate and found that it wouldn't turn either. I discovered that the earthing around the front of the bike had melted it's plastic sleeving off so I replaced that that and eventually discovered that the earth under the battery box from the negative terminal of the battery wasn't making a good enough contact under load. All sorted now so I need a new chain and I'm on the road and happy.
Currently living in Carlisle but due to move to Alnwick in Northumberland in the near future. I've now got an SV650S and the Ducati. You gotta love twins I'll get some pics of the bike up in the near future. |
