Hi everybody.....
From sunny Ringwood. I decided after 37 years on bikes to finally treat myself to a Monster after promising myself I'd buy one, one day for years. So I brought a 2012 796 in the Corse colours with only 2000 miles on it and completely unmolested. I got one of the first Scramblers to come into the UK from Moto Rapido but it just didn't do it for me so I traded it for my Monster.
The Monsters actually a second bike for me as I'll ride my GS most of the time, particularly for longer trips, although after spending last weekend hooning around Wales I've realised that it's a little bit addictive so maybe the GS might take more of a back seat for a while Jerry |

Hello and welcome.
I did a very similar thing when I bought my 750 with similar mileage on it. That must've been 8yrs ago, and I simply don't look at other bikes now ...this one's mine for ever. In fact I've become something of a monster nut these days. I might even be becoming partly Italian ..... |

Welcome to the club. The 796 is a great entry to the brand, the step up to the 1100 Monster's and the 821 down the line is a slippery slope.

Hi and welcome, I'm sure you'll have more fun on the Monster than the GS.
