Looks very tidy mate!
What are you're plans? I'd lose the belt pan and shorten the cans but that's just me |

That's a bit shiny, how low is the low milage?
My 2001 has crept up to 43K, not too huge in th grand scheme of things if you take a more global stance

It has a massive 2453 miles on it just now!!!!
I added a white stripe to her last night but only plan just now is to ride it!! The belly pan is staying as I like it but I like the idea of shorter cans. Can this be done to these ones? I may change the mirrors and need to try screen back on it to see if I prefer with or without (prob without!) |

My 750 reg in 2000 has done 9300 miles, that's gotta be one of the lowest for the year.

I'm being fussy here, but......
My 2000 750 (engine looks just like yours) had a manufacturing defect on the double cambelt pulley. This caused the belt on the horiz. cyl. to gradually move outwards until it cut a groove in the belt cover. I spotted it at just over 2k miles, which was fortunate as a small piece of cover was about to let go, land on the belt, and cause some sort of fairly serious scrambling of valves. Previous belt changes by the local dealer had not picked up the problem. You have the same belt covers with inspection covers so, unlikely though it is, I'd recommend that you remove the one to the horiz cyl and check that all is well. Belts will probably need changing anyway. Also, on the bellypan. I had one of those, though someone had cut a vent at the front and covered it with mesh. I quite liked the look, but I did think that its design covered too much of the engine and (particularly) the exhaust, causing a heat build-up when stationary at lights etc. I changed it for a smaller. monza style bellypan which doesn't encase the exhaust, and this seemed to improve matters. Before I did that, I would feel great waves of heat coming up off the engine whenever I stopped at lights. The 750 is a great, real-world, all rounder. I hope you get as much from yours as I do from mine. |

Cheers for heads up. I'm going to get it into ers racing for the belts next month once it's taxed so I'll get them to check.
Thanks for comments |
