And today this happened with a bit of smoke
Well she runs and runs well albeit the smoke. Rings I would say and also a bad fit mid gasket in exhaust. Anyhow she runs quiet and those tappety noises are sorted. I did the air bleed but if you think maybe I missed something please tell me before I strip the motor again for that rehone and rings and piston.
Oh and the headlight works too dip and main... _________________ Trying to give an old bike a fresh life

Look tidy!! I once fired up my 350LC and created enough smoke to set off the smoke alarm in my next door neighbours house! The houses were side on and they'd left their windows open, only about 6 feet from my drive. They'd only moved in a week or so before, they were not very impressed for some reason!

I have peppered the garage back door with black oil spray so that needs a clean. Good chance of a repaint

Yes but its 4 stroke though.
I believe it the oil ring. It will be apart tomorrow again. These bike are so easy to work on. Thank goodness. I feel thankful my Dukes have never let me down ever so not yet had the pleasure of an engine strip.

Finally it actually rides. Rebuilt engine. Electronic ignition and 12v. New aluminum tank. Flatside carb.
Blood sweat and tears. Needs just tweaking. Dedicated to my late brother who constantly nagged me. Sorry bro xxx Just 12 years and 8 months gone by. https://youtu.be/JcPLGB1oZto?feature=shared
