Forum advertising.
On Friday I had a World tour of Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
I took in Carl Harrison and MCT to invite them to advertise on our forum. They both told me pretty much the same story, which was that they didn't want to advertise at all. Both were so stacked out with work that they really didn't want any more. So my first two enquiries drew a blank. I have Scorpio Electronics and BDS on my list but suspect I will get the same reply! So the search is on for potential advertisers/sponsors. I am very keen to hear from anyone who could suggest suitable candidates. Adverts will run for 12 months and can only start in January 2024, when the current deal with Ducati ends. Payments are sought before the end of this year in order to secure the renewal of the forum itself.. So quite important! If you have a favourite local workshop or service provider who you think might be interested don't be afraid to pop them the question and pass them onto me. Anyone who can provide something remotely helpful to a Monster owner and could use a little extra business will be welcome. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Not in any way detracting from your efforts Mr Gazza but I think we need a plan B for fund raising, advertising is always going to be a tough ask with a) a fairly limited number of subscribers and b) a wide geographic spread.

Moto Rapido are an official Ducati dealer, I can't see that being approved any time soon.

Absolutely open to suggestions Richard. Plan B would be simply to put out the begging bowl and ask for crowd funding as has been suggested and supported recently.
However, I feel duty bound to honour the motions of the committee meeting, by seeking advertisers and keeping the club free. As it happens I have high hopes for merchandising. I fear the badges have topped out now with quite a few still in stock! Folks kind donations have way exceeded badge sales. http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=60372 I have some other items lined up, which should run this year and I hope prove popular. The trick is going to be pre-order to circumvent over stocking. The helmet auction seems to be working and also a bit of fun. (Bidding still open till Thursday. ) http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=60470 I have a few items to auction off, which I think you'll like. There are old stock frame stickers coming up and then some rather more up market Laser cut Vinyl applique ones in the pipeline. Thanks for suggesting Moto Rapido Ben. I think there is still a member out there who has not heard of them? As it happens I sounded them out many months ago. Craig seemed to think it was a matter of catching Wilf, the boss, on a good day. He has much bigger fish to fry. I don't have high hopes, but I guess I have to have the conversation at some point.

Thanks, I found Moto-Vation.
Is he any good Nick? We don't want to advertise riff-raff.

Hi Gazza. I’ve no personal knowledge of these guys (yet) but have been recommended to them on several occasions by non Monster owning Ducatisti. I believe they are independents. Maybe worth a shot or other members have contacts here? http://louigimoto.com/index.html

Thank you Steve.
I do recall hearing good things about them, if anyone else can vouch for them I will give them a call. An ad on here will be an endorsement so I feel the need for a little gentle vetting.

They appeared to know what they are talking about, and the correct parts rocked up at my place in a timely fashion. In the past that would have been a simple expectation by customers from any company endorsing themselves as a brand specialist, but sadly these days we get excited about a company that simply does what they say they will. Lets face it, a lot don't.

And as for companies not wanting to advertise for work because they're too busy, we're better off without them.
You can enjoy telling them we don't want them later on when they need to advertise for work because they've pi55ed off so many customers by being busy fools rather than running their businesses properly in the first place and adapting to customer demand with resource management.
