600 dark rebuild.

hi all here is my little monster which i bought a few months ago as you can see it needs a rebuild .so the plan is a thorough rebuild and repaint and a few upgrades awell .

Looks a good project. You will find it easier to view pictures if you gap them under each other like I just did,

Hi I have got a similar project, have been collecting parts to get started, hope to get going on it in the next couple of weeks. Be interested to watch your progress, looks like we have the same exhaust system, I like the carbon heat shield fitted. I am getting rid of the rear sets and fitting the stock items back. I am also going to fit the tea tray on the back again don't fancy getting a wet back, just got to extend the rear frame were it has been cut short!

looks good steve . i dont know why peopel chop the tail it does look good but know good if you ride in the wet ! i have a tail section that will be going up for grabs .i will keep posting pics off how its coming along .

this evening i have been going through the wiring sorting out bodges and chaffed sleeving .


anybody who thinks the above is ok go and stand in the naughty corner !!!!!!

You wouldn't need so much Sellotape if they made proper twisted wire connections instead of using chocky blocks.....

well todays update engine mounted on stand ready for steam cleaning then soda blasting to prep engine for painting .

so once the engine is back into the frame it will have some nice carbon belt covers and sprocket cover fitted . and i know i have painted the swinging arm bearings i have new ones to fit .
