It's lovely to see shots like that in the deep mid-Winter, Thank you for posting them.

Are you riding down to Land's End with us this Summer? We go right through (or perhaps round) Bury St Edmunds.

The date is 9th to 11th of June.

The story is here.
http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=54616

It started as just an idea about a week ago and seems to have hit a popular chord.
It's evolving around many members ideas and valuable contributions and already has a tangible form.

Conceived at a very unfortunate time, that is the madness of December, this is something that will focus into something really good over the next few weeks as normality returns.

"Normality" is a mythical ideal invented by people struggling to deal with today's $hite. [I like the idea of the ride though].

Merry Christmas all, and hope we all have a happy new year with clear roads and sweet rides.

Deep Mid-winter! That's Scotland in the summer if I'm not mistaken.

Indeed it was Scotland. ...my journey took me from Suffolk ...across the Pennines into the forests of Northumberland through the Scottish lowlands to Dumfries and Galloway round the west coast then back down into the lake district and across to the Yorkshire dales from top to bottom of the Dales it rained! Then across country into the peak district..Then to north wales down to the south and home....10 days in all and 3000 plus miles...and the little 620 didn't miss a beat.

Whatever luggage you will be using, if any of it requires bungee straps then I can very, very heartily recommend Rok Straps.
Part bungee material, part webbing, they are like an adjustable length bungee strap.
Thus you can set both the length AND the tension accurately for each different situation.
I bought a pair at the NEC show years ago and they have rendered all my previous bungees completely redundant.
I even had a (miniature) dishwasher strapped (in total security) on the monster the other week.
Not cheap, but definitely recommended.

Also it might be worth checking your local Aldi.
Last year I bought a large, waterproof, roll-top stuff bag from there, really cheap.
Perfect for a load of camping gear etc.
They may have them again this year.

What luggage are you using? I'm riding to Spain in July and need some soft bags for it.

Any help would be much appreciated

sorry for slow reply not on here often...the bags i use are oxford aqua t50, lomo 40L drybag, and a famsa tank bag. the oxford bag has a under seat strap and plenty of fixing points.. and the lomo bag has fixing points. straps i use are aldis suitcase strap (work great) and bungees though the bungees are more for tucking waterproofs etc under for easy access.
Off to do the north coast 500 in july and abit of island hoping so will post some pics when back.
