What are Ducati doing ?????
As if it not bad enough that Ducati is owned by Audi they are now trying to de value the brand even further by announcing the support for VR46 team with factory bikes next season in MotoGP

Any bike racing in anything especially if it can get a placing in results will be viewed as good publicity I guess. The Vr46 riders are mostly Italian so that's helpful too? It ia faintly amusing that if you go to the VR46 web site the vast majority of its pages seem to be for selling merchandise

Vr46
Love him or loathe him Rossi and his organisation still puts bums on seats and is arguably the driving force of Moto GP in Italy. The organisation HQ and his training facility at Tavulla are mighty impressive.
With Pramac defecting to Yamaha it was a toss up between Gresini and VR46. I was surprised that as a Yamaha ambassador that VR46 didn’t grab the Yam factory support that has been available for over a year. Although I’m a huge fan of Pecco I would love to see the faces at Borgo Panigale Corse if Martin or Bastianini were to win the ‘24 title and take the Number One plate to Aprilia or a satellite KTM next season…… Dumping “The Beast” for MM 93 could turn out to be a major blunder by Daligna, Tardozzi and pals…. |
