Monster 796 Hi Batt Warning
Hi wondering if anyone can help on this annoying problem with my 796. I was out riding yesterday and after stopping for 30 min came to start bike and nothing noticed the yellow EOBD ligt was on and on cycling through to error was getting Batt Hi warning. Had to switch on and off 3 times to clear EOBD then bike started. Checked Batt voltage and whilst running it sits at 14.0V-14.2V with engine off it is 12.7V. I am having to switch on and off 3 times every time i come to start it now after its been left for a while after running, if i switch off once started and then try to start again its fine, just seem to kick in after its been off for a certain time. Anyone any idea's what is causing this or how to clear the error ?

Not specifically, but I had weird battery voltage problems on my 696 and I had to have a new regulator\rectifier. Ducati did it. IIRC the cost all-in was about £150?

Did you sort this? my 696 is doing something similar
It starts fine but when you rev it at standstill voltage goes up and all lights/dash go off and Hi Batt warning comes on |
