A black Monster behaving badly in Wandsworth...
Was it you who was stopped by the boys in blue in the corner of York Road and Battersea Bridge Road?
Spill the beans, what did you do? Allegedly... |

Hahahaha. I was just about to post something about this.
Yes it was me!!! Just pootling along doing about 20 as we were approaching a traffic sign. The copper pulls me over....I go wtf?....oh oh here we go Diego ''Good Morning''. Police Officer ''Is that your bike?'' Diego '' Indeed it is'' Police Officer ''Where do you live''? Diego ''Putney'' Police Officer ''You have not paid your insurance'' Diego '' You must be mistaken. My insurance has been paid'' Police Officer ''Come inside the car please'' At this stage it was raining kittens and hounds. Not condusive to ones moods whilst being innocent Police Officer ''Whats your license plate nr?'' Diego '''' Police Officers nr2 ''uhhh police officer nr1 you have typed in the wrong license nr'' Police Officer nr1 ''argh I have'' '' I am really sorry mr'' Diego ''Jeez. You got me worried there''. ''Can I go now. This door does not open from the inside'' Police Officer nr1. ''Yes yes. So sorry''. They left and your humble narrator rode off into the sunset or rather work. Dusting off his sombrero Quite the way to start the day peeps. Just goes to show how Ducs can also warrant unnecessary and unwanted attention!!! Last edited by Diego; 21-07-2009 at 10:59 AM.. |

Must say. At least they did apologise. The look on their faces said plenty. Last edited by Diego; 21-07-2009 at 11:35 AM.. |

Muppets! I was wondering what you'd done to warrant the attention and the high speed blues & twos.
I was the silver Ducati Vespa on your left. Pleased to meet you! |

I always wonder why comments about the Police always attract strange comments?
How can it be unwarranted and unnecessary attention? They thought you had no insurance by the sounds of it and checked it out. I think that is good. The more effort they put into getting the scumbags without insurance off the road the better. Them actually doing something makes them muppets?? |

It is a different matter altogether when INNOCENT people are stopped because they do not bother to check the nr plate against what comes up on their screen or when they mistype a license nr and again do not check before pulling people over. How would it make you feel when you are picked out amongst a group of biking commuters? It is bloody embarrasing. It also made me wonder why did they go for me if there were 4 or 5 bikes there? Like I said they apologised so in the end we were all laughing (including the coppers) about it. Last edited by Diego; 21-07-2009 at 01:45 PM.. |

Diego I'm SHOCKED !!
You were only doing 20 ?? As for typing it in wrong, lots of Crim's get caught by chance, so no harm done to you this time.
