Clutch & Alternator Cover Bolt List
Hi all
I'm currently fiddling with a 2005 620, and have removed the clutch and alternator cover, as they need some work doing to them. To my dismay, I've given up being surprised by what I find, some of the bolts are either missing altogether or clearly the wrong size. So just wondering if anyone has a list of the bolt sizes, and number, that hold the two covers on please? Hope you are all well Cheers Stuart |

I suspect your friendly local parts dept will be able to tell you from the part numbers

Someone years ago did that. What I do now is stick a small screwdriver in the hole up to the face then subtract 2-3mm or to a nominal size length of stock bolts. They generally work in no more than a few lengths.

i think i have a bolt list for 900 but the dry clutch, crank sensor etc changes things a bit,
and i can’t face trying to decipher probolt receipts from my 1000 it might be taking the mick a bit but c&l are very helpful if you find the sizes, update the list, then we have wet clutch ie models covered found it http://www.thelasturl.net/ukmoc/M900BoltList.pdf Last edited by slob; 31-05-2020 at 06:40 PM.. if you order a 14mm csk screw, it will be too short then.
cap/pan/hex button head are measured/specified as shank length, countersunk are measured/specified as overall length. |
