2nd hello from Andover, Hants

Hi all,

I originally said hi about 18 months ago - just before the R work was banded about (redundancy!) and the 696 mothballed. But like all good stories, things improved, a new source of income was caught and Moto Rapido have just serviced and changed her belts - in nice time for spring 2011. Not so much a happy ending, but a happy beginning

So to all in the Hants / Wilts area, there's a newbie looking forward to meeting up and some ride outs.

It's an early start, but I'll try and get to the Goodwood ride out from Winchester on Sunday 6th March. I'll also sign up for the Nelsons diner run on the 13th, meeting up at the Andover Shell station once I've managed to read that thread.

Look out for a red 696 around Andover / Whiteparsh with a small 46 on the front!

Steve

Welcome back. Glad to hear the 696 is now back on the road.

I reckon Andover has to be about the most convenient base to ride to the various Hampster/Wiltshire meets and activities.

I'm a bit further east myself, also on a red 696, but no Rossi style 46.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you whilst out and about and hopefully see you for the Nelson run, its the shell station at top of Weyhill Road, can't remember if theres another shell one.

Cheers

Thanks everyone. Right, once I've hung out the washing (or I wont get any dinner), I'll get my thermals on and look for Mr Adhoc at Hilltop
Yup Stuart, top of Weyhill road just off the roadworks / roundabout for the distribution centre - I'll be there next week if there's space at a table.

Welcome again Steve. Glad to hear all's well that ends well. It's no good having a wonderful toy that's not used! I'll look out for you at one of the brekkie rides. Safe riding.

Hi there,

So another one from Andover! My better half Mrs T is from Andover (Anna Valley actually) and you're in the right spot for getting to various goings on. Hope to see you next weekend at Nelson's. All the best from another 696erand glad you're back on the road ( in every sense )

Thanks all for the messages and good to meet some of you. What a fine day it was, despite recording a high of 8 degrees on the bike! Went home via Winchester without needing to stop and wrap myself around another warm coffee cup.

Looking forward to next weekend and the run to Nelsons

Steve
