Just saying hello
Hi,
My name's Alex and I'm from Gateshead. I've just bought my first Monster - an S2R 800 - upgrading from a restricted DT125. It hasn't arrived yet, but that's no excuse to skulk in a corner not speaking to anyone Erm, that's all I've got to say for now. No doubt I'll have more to write when my new bike arrives!! |

He he - thanks!
It should be here next week, and I ride all year round (except when it's icy), so a bit of rain doesn't bother me!! |

Welcome to the club!
We seem to be getting a lot more Northern members - I can feel some good meets coming up next year! Feel free to ask stupid questions, it's almost rude not too |

Stupid questions eh? I've got one for you:
I've just taken the 'bikini' fairing off my S2R - never did like the look of it. Some of the wiring behind it looks a bit exposed if you know what I mean. Just wondering if anyone else had done the same thing and experienced any problems? I'm going to wrap them up a bit in sparky tape, but thought I'd better ask in case there was anything I should watch out for |

No worries

I've been out in all weathers and never had a problem... I've even unplugged all the connectors when tweaking the front end of the bike (headlight and clocks just unplug) and once its put back together had no probs. Go for it. Miles |

Brill! That's good to hear.
I had a feeling that would be the case, but it's my new baby, so it was worth checking!! Thanks |

Welcome
Hello to a fellow red/white s2r 800 rider.
You're a bit far away up there, but maybe I'll wave if we go to up to Scotland again next year. Carole |
