WTB - Top yoke to fit S4 for bar conversion
Wotcha, As the title says, I am after a replacement top yoke for my 2001 S4 so I can convert it to accept normal bars instead of the bolt/clip on style of the original.
If you don't have one for sale but you happen to know exactly which ones will fit the S4, please comment so I can look elsewhere. I don't want to change both the top and bottom yokes so I am hoping there is a straight swap available? Any comments/suggestions welcome |

I believe all s2r and s4r is correct. I did this on my s4 and I got bits from 2 ukmoc folk. Top yoke was definitely s2r. But you need to check with owner if they are fat bar clamps before but believe they are able to swap out. I have a pair of street fighter fat bars willing to sell.

Thicker diameter in the middle tapering to normal across the length.

If you go from clip ons to a riser (I assume this is what you want to do) have you considered that the hoses might need to change?

They're clips on only in name if they are the stupid, ugly standard S4 ones which have about the same amount of rise as standard monster bars but without the option to position them differently. I would think hoses should be long enough as they are.

check woodcraft and CNC Racing see what they've got.
I was literally looking at them today CNC Racing have top yoke, fat bars and appropriate risers to suit (an evo, i would assume same for S4) so that would be nice and easy for you. Might get expensive tho. Check out desmo world and maybe a wee bit down market but marrocco4speed are decent too. |

I have considered the pipework and wiring but I figured I'd suck it and see. If they are all too short I'd have to make some adjustments. Custom length brake lines ain't that expensive and extending some wires is more time consuming than difficult. I've seen quite a few S4's that have had the bars/yoke changed and I'm sure if it was that much of a ball ache not that many would bother. |

You could try Mark Lumb at Madasl - I think he could make a billet top yoke for about half the price of the ones listed above - not anodised and you may need to source some bar risers.

Yea s/hand s2 or 4 top yoke would probably be the cheapest option for you. I dropped onto a full set from someone off here so i didnt mind shelling out $200 for Woodcraft clip ons. I think the price new for the yoke set would have been close to 4 figures and thats without the bars.
