If it's like a 916 (would think it is?) then there is a retaining circlip on the shaft behind the bearing - you need the left side cover off to get at it.
Would advise to replace bearings/seals whilst in there.

I thought it was a misprint but Stein Dinse list price is 145.19 euros thats without postage and VAT.
Part number 25120026B Ducati Water pump gear 996 Ducati Wasserpumpenrad 996 Substitute for: 25120014B That other part number is the old one and was 204 euro.

I assume that it's cast? I wonder if you could get the fins milled off to leave a flat surface and then fit a SLM or DMSL 3D printed replacement blade set? Probably not cost effective unless you have an impossible to get part.
The pitting I've come across was a water pump on an enduro bike. I figured a bit of it was the alloy the blades were made of had corroded which makes me think that it was the anti freeze component. Cavitation is maybe possible but the blades operate in a closed chamber which means when the pump spins up the pressure in the pump rises which would tend to suppress cavitation.

Looks extortionately expensive for an impellor.
If it's running ok and it's only the pitting that seems to be the problem, could you try coating it with some sort of resin or sealer, something similar to the type recommended for the petrol tank repair in the recent thread? Just a thought. Crazy prices for replacement bits for our bikes. Would be interesting to see how much it would cost to build a complete monster (any model) from replacement bits. I'd imagine it'd be into many tens of thousands of £s.
