another fuel sensor has failed its only 2 years old Im fed up with the crap quality and ripoff price of ducati ones ,,, could the above item be fitted onto the base column of standard ducati guts sensor and wires frilled thru and sealed with epoxy would it work ????

I'm assuming that your sensor looks like this, Jerry?
If so, have a look at PPuxley's thread on how to replace the thermistor. http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=59407 The eBay item you listed should be ok as it's specifically described as for fuel but we know how iffy some of these Chinese descriptions can be. Ideally, you'd want to see that the component complies with the Automotive Qualification Standard to show that it's been tested and approved for use in an automotive environment and isn't just designed for a fridge or some other household appliance. |

he sensor is one of the plastic black ones same sort of curcuit but plastic casing
