Hi,

Im Dave (Chip as all my mates call me), i'm 21 and I passed my bike test in October!

I've bought a 2003 Ducati Monster 620. It needs abit of work doing but I got it at a bargain price, so i'm very happy and can afford to spend a little on it.

Here are some pictures of how it looked when i got it:

In progress::
Until early next year when i can afford a proper respray I have painted the red panels satin black and tbf i think they've come out quite good:

Rear hugger (not bolted) in place but just to show the difference from the red:

Exhausts half way through being de-baffled and shortened 80mm:

The plans include:
Full repsray in Metallic Black
Renthal Bars (ordered)
Cambelts (look in good cond. but i dont know when they were last done)
Pazzo Levers
New exhausts (possibally Termis)
Red pinstripe on wheels
New Grips (in garage awaiting the Renthal bars)
Tail Tidy incl new no. plate
Smaller Indicators
Seat Cover
Flyscreen?

And my other project (2001 Saxo VTR):

Got to say thanks to my dad too, as without him, none of this would happen. He also owns a Ducati 800 Supersport.

Lol cheers. TBF i've only had the bike a week. But i may aswell crack on getting it done now and then I can enjoy it through next year lol.

Welcome to the club mate. Good work with the respray. You've entered the dangerous wolrd of Monster improvement. You'll never finish and you'll always think of something else that needs doing. Enjoy it. Looks like you're already a dab hand with the customising.

Nice car too.

Lol, I cant leave anything standard. It's like i've got a disease haha. I just have to be doing something with my motors all the time. I enjoy it though, so thats the main thing

Lol, yup. He's an auto electrician & mechanic by trade. He's a perfectionist too, so it's never going to be done wrong. I just try to give him a hand as much as i can.

I've owned my S4 for 3 years and still keep changing bits - beware of "Carbon Fibritis", very contagious and closely linked to Ducati Monster ownership

Lol, i've tried to avoid carbon as much as i can on Saxo. Not sure if i'll manage it on Duc. My uncles just had some carbon bits on his 1098R too, so that'll tempt me even more

Hello`n welcome Chip.
Im fitting renthal drag-bars to my m900, although i've had to order risers as well, due to the fork adjusters.
Can't see from the pics if you have the adjusters on your bike, if so, you'll likely have to order risers as well.

Well i picked the bars up tonight and whilst I went round to my friends my dad started stripping bike apart to fit the bars (without telling me he was going to do it lol). He dosent seem to think any risers will be needed. But they're road bars, not drag bars? :S
