Novice Monster 750 owner.

Just a quick hello from a new Monster owner, the bike is a '98 reg Monster 750 totally dismantled in metallic darkish blue with dark blue wheels, probably genuine 5000 miles. last taxed in 2005! Wish me luck!

Welcome aboard Larsen.

Do you know why it was dismantled in the first place?

The story is that it was owned by a student at Bangor university who on leaving left the bike at his last residence, eventually the landlord made contact and an agreement was reached for it's disposal. It then in a poor state went to it's next owner who took it to pieces intending a full refurbishment....which never happened. It then had another owner who had the ability to complete the work but had too many projects, so he sold it on to me. So I know why it was dismantled but crucially not why it was abandoned.. time will tell.
Thanks also for the pointer towards Stein-Dinse.

Welcome and good luck.

Sounds like a nice project to get your teeth into.

You'll need a link to the Stein-Dinse website to see exploded diagrams of how it all goes together:

https://www.stein-dinse.biz/eliste/

Choose Ducati and then your bike from the menu on the left.

Nasher.
