Hello all
My name is Kyle and I am from the US studying my MSc in aerospace engineering in London.
I have been looking for the right time to get a monster ever since I rented a 1100s and visited the factory a few years back. (by right time, I mean funds I was hoping someone on UKMOC could give me some more experienced advice on this S4R I am looking at in london. The only thing I could see was a dying fork seal and minor scuffed tank... only thing that worries me is unknown brand exhaust, a over robust maintenance schedule, and peeling paint on engine. Any help or tips appreciated. |

Hi kyle and welcome aboard.
Is the bike being sold by a member of the forum? If so the history of the bike and owner would be known by someone on here. what I would say is, peeling engine casing paint is normal. As long as the maintance schedule shows nothing unusual in the way of work carried out, I would see that as a positive. Hope this helps.

Which exhaust is it? Can easily change that anyway. |

I already took for a spin. Insurance is kinda hard with a international license. best I can find is 1200. Looks like taking the UK direct access test will help with my insurance. :/

I ended up purchasing the bike. As seen. Thank you all, look forward to meeting up for rides. PM if you live nearby Liverpool St Station.
<------- PS the exhaust is a SilMotors Exhaust. I found the small logo. Last edited by ItalianRazer; 05-11-2014 at 08:53 PM.. |
