Hey everyone...
... just picked up my Monster 600 yesterday. Pretty much down a 460mile roundtrip in 9hrs to pick her up.
I have always wanted a Monster ever since I seen them in the last Midnight Club game. Took me about 5yrs to convince my parent to let me get my licence and finally to were I am now: a proud Monster owner. |

Very tidy looking dark. Welcome along and have safe fun out there for you and your parents sake. I actually owe my parents big time for loaning me the money to get my first monster and they were very against it at the time.

Or the heated grips
The headlights are Dominators I think. As far as I know they weren't a factory option either http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dominator-...item4ada660335 |

Not a fan of the headlights at all. Looking for a round one now. Seen this on ebay but don't know if it'll be okayhttp://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...003118&alt=web
Would prefer an original but they are quite expensive on ebay. Heated grips will be coming off hopefully but we'll see. The fuel tank has quite a few chips in the paint so will need to be repainted but kinda expected for a 14yr old bike. Mirrors dont match but I have new ones on the way. |

I wouldn't take the heated grips off if I were you - I'm amazed how frequently I end up using mine, and not just for commuting in the depths of winter. I find having them on the middle setting makes riding in rain less miserable (slightly wet hands are nowhere near as unpleasant as cold wet hands) - I can't believe living in Port Glasgow that you'll be able to avoid ever riding in the rain!

Hello and welcome from Moray. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun ahead with the bike and you're sure in the best place should you need any help, pointers or support. Also well done for getting the Posting-Photos bit right, I still haven't cracked it..

You might get called names for having heated grips in Glasgow!

Welcome.
If you're replacing the headlights for a single unit, the std light isn't really all that brilliant. I'd be inclined to upgrade while you're at it. There has been a thread or two on the forum lately discussing this. Here's a link to a couple of them... http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ight=headlight http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...light=headlamp And I agree with MrsC ..... leave the heated grips on. |
