LOTS commuting in the tube strike madness

Too many to remember, but a couple stick in mind.

Guy on a dark I stopped next too and nodded at on camberwell road.

Guy and gal on a red one at the lights between farringdon rd and clerkenwell rd, again I nodded at you.

Hope you all made it to work incident free, it was mental out there today!

Manic today.
I had the biggest, silliest grin on the way in today. Could have been in China for the amount of push bikes on the road. I also saw a dark in the New Kent Road heading for the Elephant.

Indeed quite the sight today!!! Though nothing is quite as bad as the chaos I saw whilst commuting on the monster during the London Bombings.

Had a good laugh and took the **** whilst chatting with collegues with the following comment ''took me twenty minutes to get to work, instead of ten'' hahahaha...poor sods were struggling for 2 hours or more to get here...

Only one way to commute. The Ducati way. Yeah baby.

Not much better out here in the sticks!! Ended up letting a Buell and a Dragqueen do all the hard work and filter through this mornings traffic around Heathrow, with me just following the 'parting' of the traffic

Yeah I timed my 14t cog change to perfection, it paid dividends today!

Bloody cyclists though!

And then having to find a spot to park if it was anything like our way.

Also annoys me how the feckin' scooter riders squeeze their bikes into the tightest of spots and don't give a sh*t about the bikes next to it. Part and parcel of commuting in the City I guess, but still annoys the fook out of me.

Ahem, I prefer commuting on my Vespa to the 695, much easier and cheaper, and the Duchess hasn't lost that much resale value either, as the clutch isn't worn. It also makes the weekend rides so much more special. I'm not alone in this either, I know loads of peeps with big bikes who choose to use a scoot for the commute.

Some of those scooters could have initially been parked a bit further from your bike, but some inconsiderate people, bikers and scooterists alike, choose to move scooters to make space, as these bikes are lighter to move. Sometimes, they are even moved outside a bike bay by a very inconsiderate biker, leading to a £100 fine for the scooterist.

This is true, but when the scooter is parked nearly on the seat of my Monster, I will move it and leave them to deal with the parking ticket.... grrrrrrrrr...

I've never moved one out of a bay but some people leave so much space around their scoots... That said, those bays are rubbish and I'd never leave the rs in one for long. That's one of the reasons I keep the xt - it's more robust.
