New to UK
Hey Everybody,
I'm new to the UK. I last lived in Vancouver but I'm from the states. I sold my '93 900ss when I moved but I'm thinking about picking up a monster while I'm here. I'm currently living in London, near the Old Street Station. _Kris |

Hi there - welcome to the nut house
If you do manage to get a bike then pop down to Box Hill, or over to the Ace Cafe to meet up with like minded folks on occasions. C |

Thanks for the nice welcome. I've got a ton of question but I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask them. Things like what is MOT, where can I park? Is there parking garages I can use? The company I work for has a parking garage but its close to Soho and I live off of hackney Road. They have a monthly charge for motorcycles but its not too bad.
My budget is pretty small at around £2K. I think I found a bike though. Its at R H MOTORCYCLES West Midlands near Lye. I sent them an email but I haven't gotten a reply. I called them on Saturday but I really couldn't get any answers from the guy on the phone. Has anybody ever had any experience with them? I'm mainly looking at getting something to ride on the weekends. I like the older carb bikes because they aren't too different from the SS's and I had a '93 900 for almost 15 years. I also want something that is basically stock including pipes. _Kris Last edited by kkapp; 04-02-2008 at 03:34 PM.. |

Welcome to the nut house and also the UKMOC too
When you do get your Monster, you'll have to get up to the Ace Cafe for Italian vehicle night every second Thursday of the moneth (I'll be in one of the Italian vehicles (are tube trains made in Italy?)), Box Hill, Newlands Corner, Highbeach are the bike meeting places for a Londoner that are close. Then for a spirited journey, there is always the coast for fish & chips |
