Bob E. News
Three days before Christmas (ace) I was diagnosed with MND. Motor Neurone Disease. I'm selling my Duke back to the place I bought it from. I am not really comfortable selling it privately coz of my condition :-( I am really gonna miss Daisy Duke. We had some great times together. Never let me down & after a quick fettle with Cornerspeed, she was a lot more 'caring!' Great to have been a part of the fellowship here. You all are a fantastic bunch of Duke owners. Ever helpful & friendly, top full with help & advice. Going to miss you all. It is with a real heavy heart that I'm resigning my membership here. Bob E. (no-shot) ;-) |

I’m saddened to hear that Bob, but you should stick around for the chat if that’s not too painful for you.
Wishing you All the best!

Yeah, like leaving is that easy.
You may not have a Monster but that doesn't mean you're not welcome, feel free to drop in and chew the fat whenever you want. |

That's a deep **** thing to be landed with Bob, but no excuse for not hanging out here. You might not have the bike but the state of mind you'll never loose.

Terrible news. Please stick around on here to give anyone a bollocking whenever they moan about anything that is of no real importance. Sincere best wishes.

Really sorry to hear that, Bob. But, just because you have to lose the Monster, you don't have to lose the camaraderie of UKMOC. Do stick around.

Cold comfort ?
Very sorry to hear your news, Bob. Doddy Weir, the Scotland and British Lion has MND and has done a load of fund raising.... he's a remarkable big fella. He was on our local news feed last week discussing a potential breakthrough in treatment..... fingers crossed that at long last we're on the right track to banish this dreadful condition.

You’ve prompted me to look at Doddie’s web page, so I left a small contribution!

Plus 1 for what BRD said. Please stay and engage as much as you feel able and as willing to. I'm sure everyone on here will welcome you just the same. I understand quite a bit of what your condition entails, the Company I work for is a major charity supporter of MND research. The staff are quite involved in raising funds so I hope you're able to benefit somehow from our efforts..
