Showa Rear Shock
Is the Showa rear shock on an S4R much better than the Sachs that comes fitted on the S2R 800? There's a Showa on fleebay that's done about 2K miles before the owner upgraded and am wondering if it's worth my while.
I often ride with a pillion if that helps! |

don't think it will fit i'm afraid
i was looking into this a while back and that was the consensus. would more knowledgeable types please correct me if i am wrong from my investigations your better off buying a shock with the a spring and oil weight tailored to you and your machine. the budget option is a Nitron or if you have a little more cash a wilbers or Ohlins if your loaded, |

It can fit but there are or could be clearance issues between frame. As on my post when I converted my s4 to an s4r the frame had to be crimped as to what the factory do.
Also Im not sure but are the coils on s2r on the left side near the side pods in which case it may not for sure.

Showa Rear Shock
Hmm...may just give it a miss for now in that case. It doesn't seem worth the effort for potentially very little gain!

If you ride with the missus a lot I would recommend investing in an ohlins shock. Pricey but the difference is astounding! |
