Need to ship a frame
Hi All,
I've been breaking an ill fated Gilera Runner project over Christmas to make some money available for this year's monster build and have ended up with a frame that needs shipping. Normally I'd use my local friendly post office but I don't think that they will either accept or ship reasonably cost wise. Can anyone suggest a courier who will transport my frame from Nottingham to Cleveland at a reasonable rate please? Many thanks Ben |

Quite right not to use Royal Mail as they won't insure anything automotive for damage, as I found out to my cost

Try myhermes - really cost effective, I've used them a lot - no bother.

I would say Parcelforce would be good. Hermes and some of those others sub contract to random white van men who just leave stuff in bins, on front steps etc anything to get rid.

I usually get stuff sent to my work address, so that I can sign for it there.
About three or four weeks ago a parcel arrived earlier than expected and fell on a Saturday. Finding the unit all locked up, the MYHERMES man worked out that I lived a mile further up the lane, and brought the parcel to my home. 11 out of 10 for that... ![]() +1 for Myhermes

Plus the post office I use has excellent service and the guy who runs it and his son are very friendly n always helpful.
I originally asked as I doubted a tiny sub post office would handle such a large and awkward parcel |
