Welcome to the forum. That's a good choice of first proper bike and it's looking good. Just watch out for "carbonitus" as it's a very progressive and expensive addiction.

A twin-disc, late model, carby 750.
I own a very similar beast, and started at a very similar mileage. Its far from my first big road bike (passed my test around 1969), but I'm so besotted that it will almost certainly be my last. I'm definitely never selling it anyway. Almost feel sorry for you, having picked such a great first bike, its like there's nowhere left to go. But still, I hope you like it as much as I like mine. And welcome. |

Hi.
Nice bike and congrats on passing the test. You picked a great time to get on the road - best weather for years! Cheers! |

Thank you both. It is an amazing bike and I love being able to get both feet flat on the floor....hopefully I will be keeping her for many years to come.

Well done on passing your test and making the choice of the Monster.
It'll be great fun. The club is pretty active if you wanted to get out and about and there's plenty of advice if you need any. Also, post-test training is something I'm always suggesting to new riders. I't's worth considering doing some IAM training, it's cheap and will help improve your life-saving skills, so you can blat around all those roundabouts in Harlow.

Well done! The forum is a vast resource of knowledge that will help whether tinkering or repairing your monster - and whats more is that the people with the knowledge want to share it rather than just talk about how much they know.
PS am a little jealous of the bike as mine is only a 600. |

Another 750, excellent choice says Utopia and me. I just missed the facelift and newer clocks but pretty much the same as mine.
Now you get the fun part, making all the little tweaks and additions that makes it unique and uniquely yours. Just keep up on the oil changes and it will run and run... I've gone past 75000 now and the bike still makes me smile every day.
