Looks very similar (though not identical to the Ducati Performance 'comfort' seat that I had, as mentioned above.

Kind of a 'brushed' fabric, was a nice piece think it may have been the same make/brand?.

When you look up the number it comes up as dp but no longer available

No missed out but I'm going to see if I can get it modified locally within the time available. Will also look to see if I can raise the rear end a little somehow but it's not a simple as on the older 900

If you're looking to get the seat modified, I'd highly recommend G A Wells & Son in Shepshed.

I got a spare (lowered seat) with my Guzzi but due to the bike being so low and the rearsets high it was very cramped so they raised and re-covered the seat to 30mm over standard also, moved the pillion 'hump' back a little for more room - did a great job and not silly money either.

Shame you missed it.
I can't see what raising the rear suspension is going to do for you, as the seat and foot peg juxtaposition will remain the same.
All you'll do is mess with the sweet handling of the 620.
Surely better to try a pair of lower foot pegs as Darren linked to somewhere, if the higher seat is not enough.

You're right about the susp Gazza, the issue is with seat to foot pegs so will not help with the cramped feel. Raising the rear will make the bike feel more planted in turns as the standard set up is too rear biased and tends to run wide when the front lifts under power. Maybe not such an issue with the moderate power of the 620 in any case most were I believe fitted with fixed struts, iirc the 620S model had adjustable rear strut as standard on the S4 model.

Ben, I have the standard seat from my S4R if you wanted to pop over with the bike and compare it before spending a fortune on getting a custom one made?

I've never been sure what you mean by rear biased, is it really a thing?
The 620ie's handling is actually very nice and raising the rear will just make feel less planted and more skitty.
This is not down to the "moderate" power, but rather the smaller section tyres, which work a treat in the same frame as the S4 ect.
The larger sections of the bigger bikes spoil the handling to some degree compared to the 620.
That frame does take a 180 much better that a "hoop" frame though.
I got through several 180's before I discovered how much better a 170 is.

Ride an S4 then tell me about it. Those things will put you in a ditch and many did. If you have an 851 or 888 then the Monster needs to be set about the same not something inbetween . I had my mates Triumph 900 scrabler style thing that did the same 17inch rear wheel 19inch front lol. Hilarious once you got used to it but never good.

On reflection what I should have really put was checking that the rear suspension was correct ride height as it could have been altered along with the seat.

Also worth pointing out that the handling does appear fine although I've not really given it much stick as the rear tyre is brand new.

Thanks Darren for the offer of checking the seat out but the guy who does my seats can be trusted to do a good job and will do me one for pound notes.
