The best modified keeper, the "Buzzbomb" is only kept for a year and engraved.
The res' top unscrews and makes a handy stash pot!!

Concours keeper. This must be Geoff's original filler cap, as it happens I have the instructions for it's natty upgrade, which I can forward to the new owner if Jim's interested? His key should still fit?



The Concours d' Elegance from 2018 (Monster 25th anniversary) My French polishing has improved since then I hope! The piston is from a 748 and has a crazed crown! So must have been from a belt snapper?

My total Weekender mileage was 763 thoroughly enjoyable miles.
Tracey & I had a great time and above the fabulous roads, weather and destinations, it was the spirit of the whole event that brought it to life for me.
Though my bar bill was a tad steep! the Chilean Viognier was beautiful. Big Red Duke & I shared 4 or 5 bottles.
My 222 mile ride home was awesome and dry until bloody Birmingham..... but luckily only 30 minutes left to go from there.
The Hotel & staff were excellent and made a great effort with us all.
Great to spend time with you all there and happy all were safe and well.

Another thing I learnt was under the cover of the rear of the seat is a pillion mount!!!

I really need to pay more attention!!
Oh and Gazza, great tip about the grinding paste although I’ve found the bolts to be too short once the guard is fitted so I’ll have to source some longer ones…….unless you know of any?

No-one has mentioned the standard screws being too short before, it's rather odd as the cooler brackets are only 1.5mm thick,. so it follows that your screws were only in by less that 1.5mm in the first place?

Mine are M6 x 10mm Allen screws or cap head as they are also known. They are measured from beneath the head so they will have 10mm of thread.
I'm wondering if maybe your threaded inserts in the rubber are a little further in than normal?
Anyway you ought to be able to fit an M6 x 15 in there. Just type M6 x 15 cap head into the eBay search box and you will be spoilt for choice. You might as well change them for stainless while you're at it. I am now changing most of my stainless screws and bolts for Titanium as I go.

Don't forget to put a bit of coppaslip or molybdenum disulphide grease on the screws to stop them seizing in again.

I managed to get one bolt in but the other wouldn’t play so I’ll go the eBay route cheers!
And yes, I’ve used coppaslip ( or similar!)
