Giving my last post a bit more thought..
You will need to match the piston sizes in the master and slave to retain the same mechanical advantage of the cable system.
The little conversion slaves usually use a 13mm piston. I doubt the 1200 master has a 13mm piston, but I have no idea.
Another route you could investigate, is to look at Scramblers, which I believe have cable clutches also... Maybe there are some compatible aftermarket levers for those that would fit your bike?
