When I had my S2R 1000 enlarged to 1100 (or 1078 to be precise) it involved boring out the cylinders, then replating them and finally repainting the exterior. It was over 10 years ago now and I can't remember the cost...but it wasn't cheap! I did it through Moto Rapido.
