I suppose it’s slightly more useful than the reserve petrol taps we use to have. I well remember my other half having a new Yamaha with a split in the main fuel tap pipe below reserve level. He only realised when he ran out of fuel, switched to reserve, and there was no more to give. It was a reasonable push, but thankfully mostly down a slight hill!
