I quite like the looks of the 500 too.

But ......

Imagine a similar bike but with the simplicity of an aircooled 650 single, an ally tank, right way up forks (more durable offroad), 21 inch front wheel (rather than style-conscious 17), proper mudguards and a single exhaust can, with the whole thing weighing in at around 145kg.
I'm just putting the finishing touches to such a build.
I'll post a few pics when its done.

I have long held the opinion that Ducati should build a similar, desmo single engined bike.
I reckon they'd sell a shed load of those.
