That definitely sounds like there is some form of interference on the PCB affecting the Indicators circuit whilst the 'system' is shutting down.
My guess is 12 'clicks' being sent to the immobiliser circuit for some reason.
It might be worth opening up the clocks housing and leaving it to dry out indoors for a few days in case it's just moisture.
