Correct, I used to supply industrial machinery that used delrin drive gears in a bevel setup where the larger delrin gear was driven by a smaller steel gear.
This was a development of an age-old tradition of using 2 steel gears and was a big improvement as it avoided both the wear and noise of steel on steel plus didn't require any specific lubrication.
