The reason I had a brake protector on the 1200 is I was worried about what would happen if I clipped a wing mirror or something in traffic, since I live in a congested city. Eventually I found a dainty alloy one, Ironically I wrote the bike off by flipping it on the brakes, not that the sudden impact I was trying to avoid would’ve been a better outcome.
