Depends which way through... Dropping the yokes, or bringing the fork legs up through the yokes, would make the steering feel 'quicker', though ultimately less stable and possibly prone to tank slappers. People shouldn't really muck about with geometry if they don't understand it. Bike manufacturers spend time on this stuff to get the best setup for the type of bike, and it's the reason that (generally speaking) yokes are not adjustable on production bikes.

Race teams put adjustable yokes etc. on their bikes to enable fine tuning of rake angles etc. but you'd like to think they know what they're doing...

To the OP - I would suggest you get your geo checked by a reputable suspension specialist!
