I have a pair of Brembo Goldline calipers that were originally on my 916, they are the older 40mm spaced mounts and are threaded M10 x 1.5, I don't know if later (65mm?) used a finer thread?

My Monster has radial mount forks/calipers which use M10 x 1.25, as does my 916 but these thread into the forks rather than the caliper.

I would have thought 1.25mm would be used in favour of 1mm (a thread pitch used on brembo bleed valves) for the reason Utopia mentions above.
