Good luck with the carbs, I hope they work out okay for you.

Regarding your oil cooler and lines; why don't you just keep your cooler and fit Hypermotard lines which will both tuck under the engine and up the nearside, to leave your timing side nice and clear?

Which ever way you go, you will need to change the nipples into the engine (and cooler if you keep the original cooler), as the fittings changed somewhere around 2002 to a straight spigot type with two O-rings. Yours will be an an-8 type (I think?)

Is your oil cooler not currently mounted on rocker cover mounts? I thought they all were?
Some covers with the mounts also have a sensor mounting hole. SS ones are the same animal.
