another aside....

A few weeks ago I was dragged to the garden centre to look at water features for the garden… £238!!! So I decided the money was better spent on my bikes and set about making one… using some copper sheet recovered from our old emersion heater tank I plannished some copper leaves… then cut some copper brake pipe into lengths, and soldered 7 into some 13mm copper tube. All then soldered together. Using a cheap solar water pump off Ebay for £12 I set it up in the tub and adjusted the leaves so they dribble the water down.

It makes a pleasing sound, although I do find it encourages frequent urination! Main thing is my wife loves it… Happy Wife, Happy life as they say!
