Yea, I'm glad you went with the separate carrier and sprocket option, it makes more sense and cheaper in the long run than the Supersprox one. I also found that JT also do steel sprockets to fit the Renthal or their own carrier which I don't think Renthal do, they only seem to do ally ones.

But saying that I've had 15k miles out of the ally Renthal sprocket and carrier with a 525 DID chain on my 748 and it looks like it could do another 15k no problem. So I still think that is the best option, I was told anecdotally once by one of my local bike garages that the ally rear sprocket is actually better than steel as it doesn't wear the chain as much.
