I do appreciate the Guzzi and I remember lustful feelings at the launch of the LeMans.
However for me, the weight, the torque reaction and the power-sapping shaft drive are design flaws which make it less desirable then a bevel Ducati of the same period.

The scrambler very nearly got to me though.
I would seriously fancy a Ducati single to sit alongside the monster and do the donkey work.
But it would need to have the desmo engine and, though it may be sacrilege, it would need to be in a modern chassis.
In reality, I'm probably better off with the Dommie, but there is still this little voice in the back of my head ........

All I bought in Italy was petrol ... and ice-cream.
