I decided to upgrade these guards by supplying them with replacement screws in A2-70 stainless steel. We found that the original screws are quite short in the first place sometimes and are too short with the addition of just a 1.5mm thick bracket.
So, I've rectified this with the screw length fitted to the later SS models, which also hold a fairing bracket.. Sorted.
Kits now come to £31 posted, including screws and take into account postage increases.
