Check the cylinder heads because the standard M900 at around that time had 750 heads and you want the bigger valve 900SS heads. So I wouldn't spend a lot on refurbing them until you confirm thaey are the best ones. It knocks a fair bit off the power, like 5 HP or something. You want the heads that are stamped V2!
