I'm guessing that you would also like to get rid of the angled bracket that the std light fixes to ...?
I did this in my 750 and I used an led light unit from a panigale.
The fixing holes on the led unit are closer together than the fixing points in the teatray (curvy type, 3-bolt fixing) but I made a simple, flat adaptor piece from a piece of black plastic sheet, about 3mm thick.
The end result is really neat.

In case you're interested ....
Hole centres on my teatray (for the original bracket) look to be about 72mm.
Hole centres on the panigale led unit are about 28mm and the unit itself is about 47mm wide and 14mm thick.
Perhaps you could get a pic of the led unit off a parts listing somewhere ..?
