After passing my test earlier this year, (after a gap of 30 years), I git a S2R 800 following a recommendation from my brother - he's got three Ducati - the S2R 800 is fast enough without being too scary, but loads of fun and handles really well plus is very forgiving.
I spent four days doing nothing but test driving bikes. The S2R was the one that put the biggest smile on my face.
I might buy another bike next year, but I'll keep the S2R
